My Story~
Nearly 3 years ago, I left a 10-year relationship. Shortly after we broke up, he told someone 'my ex girlfriend's idea of exercise was walking to the kitchen to get another bowl of ice cream.'
Nice, huh? While it made me angry, it also made me realize that I had let my lifestyle get to that point. I worked a lot of hours and spent what little free time I could find plopped in front of the television, usually falling asleep on the sofa shortly after eating FAR too much junk (fast food, pre-packaged foods, frozen dinners, chips, cookies, etc.).
After leaving the relationship, the idea of getting back into 'the dating scene' scared me half to death. I didn't love myself, so how could I expect anyone else to? I knew I had to take action.
I had already spent several years researching weight loss and fitness- I had compiled a huge file of information, I just hadn't put it into practice.
You probably know exactly what I mean - I always INTENDED to lose weight and get into shape!
I had spent literally hundreds of hours sorting through medical articles, nutrition information, diet and and fitness programs. So, I pulled it all together and developed a weight loss program for myself (with the intent of developing a system I could share with other women who felt the same frustrations). While creating the system, I continued to work long hours at my job, so I needed a system that would accommodate a very hectic schedule.
Above all, I knew I had to make it easy. The biggest problem most of us face isn't that we don't know what to do, it's that we lack the motivation and the time. I studied the teachings of the world's top motivational and time management gurus and incorporated their techniques into the program.
Within just a couple of months, I could see tremendous changes in my appearance. I felt better than ever (both physically and mentally).
Today, just having celebrated my 50th birthday, I look and feel better than ever...
- My skin looks clearer than it has in years.
- My thinking is not foggy anymore (I thought it was just menopause taking its toll - it turns out it was my diet!).
- I have muscle tone in places I didn't even know I had muscles.
And, the best part? I've met a wonderful man who respects and cherishes me for who I am - we're enjoying a fantastic life together taking wonderful trips (mostly to sunny beaches where I'm no longer embarrassed to wear a bathing suit and sundresses in public).
I'm sure my improved physical appearance encouraged him to want to get to know me, but what really 'sealed the deal' is the confidence I now have in myself. That's more attractive than a tiny waist and slender hips!
After 2 years of maintaining my weight and fitness level while still working a very demanding job with LOTS of long hours, I figured I had tested the program enough to share it with others.
